Runes of Magic needs wings (apparently)

A few months ago I decided to try the free mmorpg Runes of Magic, it was one of those play for 15 minutes then uninstall because it's just that great ...

So I guess I was left on their mailing list and got this e-mail today from them.

Really Runes of Magic, Really?

First off, are you kidding me with the title of their update? "Lord of the Wings"... Seriously? After winning me over with that gem...

Where's my next MMORPG: What's the future hold?

What does the future hold?(Continued from Part 2: Where's my next MMO: The Teet of WoW)

So what does the future hold for us mmorpg fans? I see Aion on the horizon which appears to be gaining a ton of attention, and a few others that might be what I’m looking for... but probably not. We need something ground breaking for the genre, something to change the way people are currently developing mmo’s. Something new and original, something we’ve never seen before. Games like this don’t come around too often, but they do exist, and it’s about time we see a game like this make an appearance in the mmo genre.

QuickHit Football

Quick HitThis is a new MMO that seems to me to have a new concept.  If you're into football you might want to try it out.  It's not out yet, but you can sign up to be one of the first to play. http://www.quickhit.com/

a review from http://MMORPG.com

"When Jeff Anderson left as the CEO of Turbine, he needed to try something new. His new company is doing just that with a casual, free-to-play online American football game called QuickHit Football.

This game takes a sport that the North American market knows and loves, and puts it out there as a free-to-play online game.

The full patch highlights, notes, and of course the trailer, are all available at the official WoW 3.2 site here.

Where’s my next mmo: The teet of WoW.

teet of wow(Continued from Part 1: Where's my next MMO: The Begining
Oh and what a sweet teet it was. I remember running around in the Elwynn Forest as a noob just being amazed at how it blew away all those free Korean mmorpg’s. My char was a human paladin, which at the time wasn’t a terrible character to roll. As I progressed through the game, I began to realize that WoW is an extremely easy game to play. Pretty much anyone could just pick it up and start playing with little knowledge of mmo’s. When I got to lvl 60, I raided, I worked on my mining and blacksmithing skills so I could craft some sweet weapons and armor. WoW had so much to offer an mmo noob like me, and I suckled the crap out it. I worked hard for that purple epic gear and like a no wiper crap, I loved every minute of it.

Where’s my next mmorpg: The beginning.

For the last 2 years I’ve been asking myself this question.  While I hang on to the threads that are vaporware, watching videos of Star Wars: TOR and various other mmos that seemingly will never be released.  I wonder if maybe I’ve gotten too old for this gaming genre, too busy, as I listen to a 12 year old curse at me while calling for a medic and running in the other direction.  One thing is for sure though, I miss my mmorpgs, I miss the guilds, the late night raids, the friendships, the camaraderie , the excitement, and even the boringness of them at times.

Martial Power: D&D 4th Edition

Martial Power has no doubt been out for a while now. So for my first review I'm going to review Martial Power. As for the book itself... I have to say it's pretty solid. It may help to understand the 4th Edition strategy, which seems to me is releasing base classes in the PHBs, throwing one in a campaign setting, and expanding all those options in Power books. Martial Power is the end all be all book for Martial classes, which includes the iconic Fighter, Rogue, and the Ranger and Warlord. I'll be judging each class seperately in this review.
