So I just purchased the brand spankin' new DLC for Crackdown 2, Keys to the City. From their promo video, Ruffian Games has added some new vehicles, weapons, gameplay modes, and mechanics to the already enjoyable playground of Pacific City.
There's only one problem: it doesn't work. As soon as you throw down your hard earned Microsoft Points and try to load the DLC, it freezes your Xbox, and you're forced to restart. Wonderful. There's quite the rabble going down over at Ruffian Games' forum page. According to Gaz Ladden via the forums, "We have confirmation of what the issue is now. The paid part of the DLC was incorrectly configured when mastered..." So for now, here is a way to fix this problem until Ruffian makes a patch for it:
- Delete Toybox DLC
- Delete your profile (just the profile, not the items attached)
- Recover your profile
- Redownload DLC
When Crackdown 2 first came out, I was very excited about what it could bring to the sandbox genre. After discovering a lackluster game and now this debacle, my faith in Ruffian Games' ability to make high quality products has been shaken. Hopefully we'll see a patch early next week to set things straight.

Ouch! I hate DLC all together, but when it completely f's with the game and makes it unplayable because of a bug / glitch...
It would be one thing if it was free, but you paid for it. They should offer the next DLC free of charge, bu they'll probably just make some downloadable free mask or some BS the PR team comes up with.
